In a case that rocked public opinion in Egypt, the Damanhour Criminal Court in Beheira Governorate sentenced the aggressor to the child, famously known as a “Damanhour student”, to life imprisonment 25 years.
The Damanhour Criminal Court decided to respond to the requests to defend the child Yassin, to amend the registration and description in the case, and to change the decision to refer from the attack on the child without strength, to the attack by force under the threat.
The Damanhour Criminal Court had heard the statements of the mother of the child Yassin – who appeared in “Zay Spider Man” inside the court – as well as the accused’s statements in the case, who denied all the charges against him.
Issam Muhanna, the victim’s lawyer, confirmed that the forensic report proved and asserted that there was an attack on the child, with the victim identifying the accused before the court.
He also explained that the family of the victim lasted for a whole year to defend to take the right of her son, especially the child’s mother, explaining that the court’s body had seized the accused until the ruling was issued.
The Damanhour Criminal Court, the first circle, considered the case of the lake child, while the session was limited to the presence of the victim and his family, the accused, the defense of the two parties, and the witnesses of the incident.
