Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Egyptian National Committee for Education, Science and Culture stressed the importance of the role played by the National Committee in implementing national, regional and international projects and announcing international prizes, in cooperation with UNESCO, ALENCO and EcSCO organizations, explaining that these efforts contribute to achieving Egypt’s 2030 vision, and enhances Egyptian representation in international forums concerned with education, culture and science, in addition to supporting cooperation with this Organizations in the fields of higher education, scientific research and innovation, and enhance the exchange of experiences at the Arab, African and international levels.
In this context, the Egyptian National Committee for Education, Science and Culture, “ALECO Affairs”, participated in the work of the (123) session of the Executive Council of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALCO), in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Ould Omar, General Manager of the Organization, Hani bin Muqbel, Chairman of the Organization Executive Council, and with the participation of Arab member states in the League of Arab States representatives in the public secretaries of the Arab National Committees for Education and Science Culture, at the headquarters of the ALASO organization in Tunisia.
In the same context, Dr. Ayman Farid, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning, Training and Rehabilitation of the Labor Market and Head of the Cultural Affairs and Mission Sector, the supervisor of the Egyptian National Committee for Education, Science and Culture, and a representative of Egypt’s membership in the Executive Council of the Arab Organization for Education and Science (ALESO), the Egyptian delegation participating in the work of the (123) session of the ALECO Organization, in the presence of Counselor Abdel Mohsen Shafi’i, Deputy Egyptian Ambassador in Tunisia, Somaya El -Sayed, Assistant Secretary -General of the National Committee for ALECO.
For his part, Dr. Ayman Farid expressed his thanks to the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECO) and the price of its efforts, stressing that the Executive Council of ALECO is working to move towards the completion of the organization’s projects that are in the interest of member states, adding that this session of the Executive Council of the Ecsu is of great importance as its work included discussing the most important Arab organization in all its fields of education Science, culture, communication and information, as well as discussing the financial and administrative aspects, and issues related to the State of Palestine, in addition to implementing the strategic plan for international cooperation and companies and diversifying the sources of self -financing for the organization, as well as implementing the strategic plan to enhance the role of media and marketing of the organization, and follow -up of the educational, cultural and scientific conditions of countries in the event of conflicts, crises, disasters and emergency, in addition to the participation of Alcso in the participation Periodic meetings for councils and committees emanating from the League of Arab States, as well as the council vision of the future organization’s work plan for 2028.
It is noteworthy that the ALCO Organization is one of the specialized Arab organizations affiliated with the League of Arab States and includes 22 countries, and its organizational structure consists of (the legislative structure – the executive structure – the technical and administrative structure – external agencies) and indicated that the contract of the Executive Council is part of the legislative structure in support of the work of the organization’s general conference with the aim of reviewing, evaluating and developing the mechanisms of the organization’s work and ensuring its effectiveness in achieving joint Arab cooperation in the fields of education Science and culture and the director of bridges of dialogue between the Arab peoples.
At the end of the first day of the meeting of the Executive Council of the ALECO Organization, Egypt won the chairmanship of the Science Committee for two arriving sessions, and also participated in the education, information and communication technology committees of two sessions.
