Representative Dr. Munir Ibrahim Sorour stressed that the new press law regulates professional media, and expands freedoms in a responsible manner, praising the granting of electronic platforms an official status to continue to practice its activity. He saw that the law – which was supported Media publishing, and this reflects an advanced philosophy in dealing with media production. He stressed that the law has achieved many positives of the press and media medium such as, canceling the journalist’s imprisonment and only exaggerated fines, and giving an overview of electronic space with legal controls that begin with the license, as it made the original in canceling the licenses to be by a judicial ruling except for some of the clarified cases. Sorour thanked all the parties that he named in the emergence of this law to the public after many years of circulation, taking and responding, expressing his happiness to support this legislation and support it to its approval. The member of the House of Representatives concluded his speech by saying: “The support of the press and journalists was and still is one of the features that printed the pledge of His Majesty the Great King, may God protect and preserve him,” stressing that “the media grows and thrives in the shadow Freedoms, ensuring the flow of information, and transparency.
