An atmosphere of anxiety and fear prevailed in Iraq, after the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region announced that three HIV injuries were recorded in violating beauty centers, with foreign workers.
Discovering AIDS injuries in beauty salons in Iraq
According to local media, injuries were discovered during the routine tests conducted to renew health permits for workers in public facilities. It turns out that the salons concerned either do not have health licenses or work with expired permits.
The Ministry stated that the medical teams moved immediately to take the necessary measures as soon as the injuries were monitored, and the concerned authorities were informed of the incident. The Ministry called on citizens to avoid visiting unlicensed cosmetic centers, and the need to ensure that there are valid health permits before going to any public facility.
The health authorities in Iraq had recorded more than 2000 AIDS cases until the end of last year, including 7 cases in children.
It is noteworthy that the HIV virus (HIV) attacks white blood cells and weakens the immune system, which exposes the person to the risk of developing diseases such as tuberculosis, severe infection and some types of cancer. HIV (AIDS) is the most severe stage of the disease.
The virus infection is transmitted through body fluids, including blood, breast milk, semen, and vaginal fluids, and are not transmitted by kisses, hugs, or food sharing. It can also be transmitted from the mother to her fetus.
