During the past 24 hours, Damietta port received 13 ships, while 12 ships left, and the total number of ships in the port reached 29 ships.
Damietta Port receives 13 ships with a total goods exceeding 51 thousand tons
The report issued by the Damietta Port Authority revealed that the movement of public cargo amounted to 45293 tons, including: 11716 tons of urea, 5321 tons of Kleinker, 8577 tons of beet feed, 5755 tons of gypsum, 100 tons of potatoes and 13824 tons of various goods.
The incoming movement of general goods reached 51464 tons, including: 42,000 tons of corn, 742 tons of beech wood, 5972 tons of iron, and 2750 tons of various goods.
While the export movement of containers reached 1338 equivalent containers, and the number of containers received is 485 equivalent containers, while the number of transit containers reached 2505 equivalent containers.
The balance of the grain and grain silo for the public sector in the port reached 29,476 tons, while its balance in the private sector stores reached 38151 tons, while the truck movement reached an entry and exit 5476 movements.
In a separate context, Major General Mohamed Khalil, director of the Sokhna Port Project, announced that the new Hachson container station is scheduled to operate in the port before the end of this year, as part of a comprehensive development plan aimed at converting the port into an international industrial and logistical center.
Khalil said, during a conference held on the project site, today, Tuesday, that the ponds being implemented inside the port were designed to serve all operational activities, allowing the reception of ships of all kinds and sizes, stressing that the port includes all economic and logistical activities.
Hatcheson station berth
He pointed out that the giant pavement on the Hatscheon station is scheduled to reach the port next July, in preparation for the official operation of the station.
He emphasized that the Hatson Station is the first stations to be developed within the port project, as the infrastructure work has been completely completed, and the work of the superstructures that include trading arenas, administrative buildings, and fences are being implemented.
