The National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, headed by Nibras, called for the CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, the committee chairman, its regular meeting, where the latest developments related to the development of the work environment, and the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in preserving its leadership in the field of combating trafficking in persons were reviewed.

The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, where the latest developments in the National Strategy to Combat Trafficking Persons, in addition to reviewing the annual report of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking Persons for the year 2024.

During the meeting, Nibras Talib stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has made great progress in gaining international confidence in its efforts and comprehensive system, noting that work is underway to frame these efforts within a national strategy that all relevant government agencies participate in preparing, making it a reference document for government work in this field, pointing out that the committee has made a great way to prepare the strategy.

The CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority reviewed the committee members of the outputs of the government forum to combat trafficking in the Middle East in its sixth session, which was recently held in the sisterly State of Kuwait, under the title “Protecting Rights and promoting justice in the field of combating trafficking in persons,” noting that the forum is a regional platform to highlight best practices and procedural frameworks to protect rights, exchange experiences and experiences, And contribute to building a unified vision that leads to innovative solutions and mechanisms that contribute to the sustainability and effectiveness of the anti -trafficking system.

The members of the committee affirmed the keenness to continue to develop the protection and prevention system, and to enhance the partnership with the international community, in a way that contributes to the consolidation of the Kingdom’s leading and international position in the field of combating trafficking in people.
