The Ministry of Education and Technical Education confirmed that it has developed a plan to end the evening periods of primary schools within a period ranging from two years to 3 years.
This came through The Supreme Council for Pre -University Education meeting; Today, headed by Mohamed Abdel -Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, to discuss the new academic year plan 2025/2026 and review some of the features of the Ministry’s plan, policies and executive procedures that were implemented recently.
The start of the next academic year on September 20, 2026
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the attendees, stressing the vital role of the Supreme Council for Pre -University Education in supporting the educational process, participating in decision -making and developing educational plans and programs.
During the meeting, the minister reviewed the features of the Ministry’s plan for the new academic year, stressing that the reality of education is measured by what is happening in the semester, noting that the efforts made by the ministry during the last period contributed directly to achieving high attendance rates until this time of the academic year ranging from 80% to 90%, in addition to that the density of classes does not exceed 50 students in one semester, as the ministry has set a plan to end the evening periods in schools Elementary within a period ranging from two to 3 years.
The Minister also reviewed the time map for the academic year 2025/2026, which starts on September 20, 2025 and ends on June 11, 2026, by 36 academic weeks, and curricula are distributed to the two semesters, where the first semester will start on September 20, 2025 until January 22, 2026, and the first semester exams for transportation classes begin on Saturday, January 10, 2026, and the second semester begins on Saturday 7 February 2026 To Thursday, June 11, 2026, with the start of the second semester exams for the transportation classes on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
He added that the first semester exams for the preparatory certificate will start on Saturday, January 17, 2026, and the second semester exams on Saturday 4 June 2026, and a half -year vacation will extend for two weeks starting from Saturday, January 24, 2026 and end on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
