Hawra is mortgaged
Representative Basma Mubarak called on the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to activate monitoring tools and follow up the performance of real estate development companies and offices, in light of the changes noted in the prices of some housing plans, in conjunction with the launch of the new financing program “Tasheel+”.
Mubarak said in a special statement to “Al -Watan”: “We have noticed a increase in the prices of some real estate in residential plans significantly after the announcement of the Tshal+program, which raises the concern of citizens, especially those with limited income, and it is difficult to benefit from the advantages of the program.”
She added: “We received a number of observations from the citizens whose previous agreements were affected with some real estate companies, as they were informed of the abolition of prior agreements and the return of the amounts paid, and the request to sign new contracts at updated prices for the same land, which constitutes an additional burden on them.”
Mubarak stressed the importance of the Ministry of Housing’s intervention to ensure the stability of prices and achieve the goals of the program, noting that the success of “facilitation+” is related to the ability of the concerned authorities to organize the market and coordinate with real estate developers. She also stressed the need to show social responsibility by real estate companies and cooperate with the state to achieve housing goals.
Mubarak proposed the establishment of a unified platform that includes the lists of real estate owners and real estate developers under the supervision of the ministry, allowing the possibility of monitoring prices and limiting the practices that may affect the stability of the market.
