The Hajj Security Forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia managed to thwart the attempt to smuggle 9 expatriates to Makkah to perform the Hajj pilgrimage in an irregular way, as the expatriates were carrying visas, and two citizens transferred them in a clear violation of the Hajj regulations.
According to the security authorities, a drone was used to monitor suspicious moves, which contributed to discovering the violation and stopping it quickly. Those involved were transferred to the competent authorities to complete the regular procedures and implement the penalties prescribed against them.
In the context of preparations for the Hajj season, the General Directorate of Passports announced that the number of pilgrims coming from abroad until the end of Thursday amounted to 1,330,845 pilgrims, most of whom presented through the air outlets by 1,260,874 pilgrims, while the land ports received 64,883 pilgrims, and 5,088 pilgrims arrived through the seaports.
The passports confirmed that all their capabilities are harnessed to facilitate the procedures for entering pilgrims, by supporting international outlets with the latest technical devices, and operating them with trained human cadres who master a number of languages to serve the guests of Rahman with efficiency and convenience.
