The Municipal Council of Muharraq voted to approve the recommendation of the Services and Utilities Committee regarding a proposal submitted by a member of the eighth district, Muhammad Al -Muqawi, to establish a secondary school for boys or girls on a pre -designated land by the state as an educational site in the 111st complex in Al -Hadd City.
In its recommendation, the committee called for the inclusion of the site within the Ministry of Education’s future plan to establish schools, with the need to inform the municipal council about the projects to be implemented in Muharraq Governorate, with the aim of joint coordination and meeting the needs of the regions.
Council member Muhammad Al -Muqawi explained that the proposal came to meet the increasing need for secondary schools in the city of Al -Hadd, and said: “The region is witnessing a remarkable population growth, and there is an urgent need to provide a close and stimulating educational environment for our children, which will also contribute to reducing pressure from the neighboring schools in Muharraq Governorate.”
Al -Muqawi praised the Minister of Education d. Mohamed Mubarak, stressing that everyone sees the fruit of his devotion and dedication to upgrading the educational process, and that the ministry has achieved a qualitative shift in the sector thanks to the Minister’s efforts and his team.
And that the establishment of the school would contribute to the service of a wide segment of the people of Al -Hadd, and the provision of study seats that accommodate the population increase in the region, within a comprehensive development vision that enhances the level of general education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
