The Board of Development of International Dispute Resolution Mechanisms in the Kingdom of Bahrain announced the participation of its Secretary -General Professor Marika Patrani Bolson, in the main general session of the thirteenth international of St. Petersburg, where she reviewed the Bahraini perspective on neutral justice through the establishment of its new international center.
The forum was held from 19 to 21 May 2025, under the title “Law: Lessons from the past for the future world”, in the presence of 6,000 participants from policy makers and legal experts.
The general session was opened with a major speech delivered by the former president of the Russian Federation and the current deputy head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, while the list of speakers at the plenary session included Professor Bolson both the head of the International Criminal Police Organization Ahmed Al -Raisi; Vice President of the Republic of El Salvador Felix first; The former Austrian Foreign Minister, head of the Gorki Center at St. Petersburg University, Karen Kneissel, and the Minister of Justice and Constitutional and Religious Affairs in Mozambique Matthews Sais.
Professor Paulson’s speech in her participation dealt with: historical lessons, the continuous role of the United Nations Charter and the vital role of multilateral judicial bodies in ensuring due legal procedures and reaching neutral justice during the conflict; The complex relationship between sovereignty and the implementation of the United Nations mechanisms for due legal procedures, and also reviewed the Bahraini perspective on neutral justice through the establishment of its new international center.
On the sidelines of the forum, Professor Marik Patrani Polson participated in a meeting between speakers at the plenary session and former president of the Russian Federation to discuss future views and prospects.
Voke talks with the Minister of Justice in the Russian Federation, Constantine Gugnko, were also held to discuss ways of future cooperation in enhancing arbitration, reflecting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to support international dispute settlement.
