A large crowd of the bodies of the couple Ahmed Ibrahim and his wife, Fatima Abbas, made the horrific traffic accident that occurred at dawn yesterday in the Saar area on Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Street near the entrance to Saar. The feelings of sadness and stunning were overwhelmed by the faces of the mourners who flocked to bid farewell to the couple known for the kindness of their biography and their distinguished social status, amid calls for mercy to them and the speedy recovery of their three children with serious injuries as a result of the accident. Towards the opposite path and collided with the face of the couple’s car, “Toyota”, and the accident resulted in the death of the spouses and the injury of their three children with injuries ranging from serious and medium. The injured children were transferred to the Salmaniya Medical Complex for treatment. The General Traffic Department confirmed that the accident was due to excessive speed, disregard and lack of attention, and indicated that investigations are underway to reveal its circumstances. The attendees also stressed in the funeral ceremonies the necessity of confronting traffic recklessness and tightening penalties for drivers reckless with innocent lives, in a way that enhances traffic safety and protects society from similar disasters.
