The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Physiotherapy at Cairo University organized under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq, President of the University, and supervised by Dr. Amal Youssef, Dean of the College, and Dr. Nisreen Al -Nahhas, Vice -Dean of the College, the third international conference on scientific research and its applications in physical therapy under the title: “Physiotherapy in the scope of artificial intelligence applications: a new era”, with the aim of enhancing scientific research and innovation in the field of physical therapy by integrating artificial intelligence techniques to innovate new paths in services The therapeutic presented to patients in order to achieve excellence in applied scientific research.
Artificial intelligence represents a great opportunity to reformulate the future of health care
Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq explained that the organization of this conference confirms the keenness of Cairo University to provide an integrated model for education and scientific research that keeps pace with the latest global variables in the field of advanced technology, and reflects the university’s ability to link various specializations and employ them to serve the community, stressing the need to realize the enormous capabilities of artificial intelligence and technology in creating a transformation in providing health care, by mixing theoretical knowledge with practical application.
The President of Cairo University stressed that the global transformations in the medical field requires academic institutions to expand in carrying out their roles not only as educational platforms, but as production centers for knowledge and future industry, pointing out that this conference represents a practical translation of the university’s strategy for artificial intelligence to enhance the interaction between specializations to build a healthy system based on accuracy and speed in diagnosis and rehabilitation.
For her part, Dr. Amal Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Physiotherapy, said that the conference discussed several important axes related to the applications of artificial intelligence in the fields of physical therapy, as the responsible use of these technologies for the advancement of health care, noting that the conference included several lectures and discussion sessions that he participated in providing 16 lecturers from Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Croatia and India, and with the participation of a number of lecturers from Cairo University of Physiotherapy Colleges, Faculties of Physical Therapy, Medicine, science, engineering, computers and artificial intelligence, and dentistry, pointing to holding a workshop on the sidelines of the conference at the college headquarters.
