In the context of its endeavor to support and support the initiatives aimed at enhancing entrepreneurship and emerging projects, and in light of the success achieved by the activities of “Start August Bahrain” during the previous years in developing the innovation and creativity environment in the field of entrepreneurship, Start Up Bahrain – the leading platform for emerging companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain – hosted the seventeenth edition of the “Start App Bahrain Tours” with the support of the “Tamkeen Fund” and in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade Industry, Economic Development Council, and Bahrain Development Bank.
This initiative comes with the aim of urging entrepreneurs and encouraging them to present innovative ideas, creativity, and enhance the entrepreneurial environment at the Kingdom level. The event hosted a jury that included a group of experts and investors in the field of entrepreneurship, namely: Mrs. Fatima Sultan Bahwan – CEO of Operations at Al -Jabr and the main spokeswoman of the event, Mr. Sam Mirchant – partner at Angelral, Mr. Karim Qanswa – Director of Investment Portfolio at Hub71, and Mr. Laith Al -Khalili – Assistant Director of Mamtala Holding Company.
A number of emerging Bahraini projects participated in the event, namely: “Tammam” – Application for Application Management Development, and facilitates operational operations in the food, retail sectors, cosmetics, and “Rantat” – a technical platform aimed at automating rental collections and developing the relationship management between owners and tenants, and “Safar” – a platform that provides safe financing solutions in the field of travel Using a model “Buy now and pay later”, “Bizbay” – a dynamic electronic market linking buyers, sellers, investors, and simplifying exit and investment through a flexible platform.
After reviewing the business participating in the competition, and evaluating projects by the jury members, the winning companies in this year’s competition, a complete company, were announced in the first place, while Bizbay won the second place.
On this occasion, Mrs. Nour Al -Darazi, on behalf of the company that won the first place, expressed her pride and pride in this achievement: “We are very happy that we obtained the first place in the roundabout of Bahrain, and we consider this coronation a medal of honor for us.
