Activists on social media mocked the Clarissa Classa’s correspondent for the “Courage and Integrity” award from the Los Angeles Press Club, after “left” press stories from Gaza and Damascus.
Clarisa had published a picture in October 2023, after the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip, appearing as she took shelter from what she claimed to be missiles, in the context of the narration adopted by the majority of the Western media to justify the aggression against the sector.
Clarissa was famous for another story from Damascus, after the fall of the regime of Bashar al -Assad, as it appeared accompanied by those who claimed to be a prisoner found in the Assad prisons, and later it turned out that he was a former intelligence officer in the system, a mistake that CNN recognized and tried to justify that she had obtained incorrect information about the alleged prisoner.
