The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced that it was agreed with Ardiseis Egypt Branch to implement a two -dimensional cice -dimensional survey with nods technology for the first time with lengths of 5233 km longitudinal divided into two areas to cover the basic basin west of Assiut and the entering pelvis and will start with the seizure survey in the next few weeks.

This comes within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources by seeking to enhance research and exploration activities in all regions of the Arab Republic of Egypt and accelerate the frequency of production, especially in the areas affiliated to the Egyptian Valley of the Egyptian Holding Company, opening new investment horizons for promising and virgin regions, as well as providing more seizures in the new regions.
It is worth noting that this project will take 9 months, including the seizure survey and treatment works, as this sezom survey will help open new horizons for investors and explore new areas to enhance production rates.
Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, has stressed that the oil and mining sectors give the utmost importance to value -added projects and the maximum benefit from Egypt’s petroleum and metal wealth through expansion of local manufacturing projects and the production of products at international levels and then export to foreign markets, which provides the hard currency to Egypt.
He pointed to the targeting of Egypt’s transformation into a regional center for mining industries by exploiting the advanced infrastructure and the distinctive geographical location, and that the work is currently underway to develop the mining work system within the axis of the mining field in the ministry’s work strategy during the current period and began to convert the metal wealth body to an economic body while targeting the increase in the contribution of the mining sector to the gross domestic product to 5% or 6%.
This came during the General Assembly of the Egypt Phosphate Company to approve the results of the fiscal year 2024 in the presence of Eng. Salah Abdel Karim, head of the Petroleum and Geological Authority, Yasser Ramadan, Chairman of the Mineral Resources Authority, Eng. Ashraf Bahaa, President of the Egyptian Holding Company for the south of the valley and representatives of the Central Auditing Agency.
