Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and UAE Foreign Minister, made a phone call to Gideon Saar, the Israeli Foreign Minister, which led to the agreement to start the introduction of urgent humanitarian assistance from the UAE, aimed at meeting the food needs of about 15,000 civilians in the Gaza Strip as a first stage.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the initiative includes providing the basic materials needed to operate bakeries in the sector, in addition to the necessary children’s supplies, while ensuring the continuity of providing these materials to meet the needs of civilians.
The arrival of humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza
During the call, the UAE Foreign Minister stressed the importance of the arrival of humanitarian, relief and medical aid to the brotherly Palestinian people in the sector urgently, intense, safe and without any obstacles, according to the agency.
According to the agency, the two sides discussed regional and international efforts to resume the armistice agreement, reach a ceasefire and release the hostages.
