Al -Nuaimi: Enhancing Gulf media integration and supplying its tools with modern technologies

The Minister of Information, Dr. Ramzan Al -Nuaimi, stressed the importance of enhancing the Gulf media integration, developing its common tools and providing them with modern technologies that enable them to keep pace with the accelerated developments of the era, in order to achieve the high visions of the owners of Majesty and His Highness the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and meet the aspirations of their peoples.

This came during his participation in the 28th meeting of the ministers of media in the Gulf Cooperation Council states, which was held yesterday in the sisterly State of Kuwait, headed by the Minister of Information and Culture, Minister of State for Youth Affairs in Kuwait, Abdul Rahman Al -Mutairi.

Al -Nuaimi stressed Bahrain’s keenness to support the pillars of the joint Gulf action at all levels, including media work, a translation of the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He praised the role of Gulf media institutions in consolidating constructive media cooperation frameworks, and consolidating the common values ​​and constants that bring together the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, pointing to the importance of continuing coordination between member states and activating active initiatives that serve priority Gulf issues in light of the current challenges.

He stressed that the accelerated developments on the global scene require a unified Gulf response that elevates media content, and works to develop its national cadres to be able to produce meaningful and responsible media content that reflects the identity and culture of the Gulf society and its authentic values, and transmits the achievements of its civilizational and developmental states.

During the meeting, media ministers in the Gulf Cooperation Council states discussed a number of media issues listed on its agenda, most notably: the proposed initiatives and projects for the strategic plan for joint media cooperation of the Cooperation Council states 2023-2030 in the fields of radio, television, news agencies, and electronic media. In addition to discussing ways to employ modern technologies and artificial intelligence in producing creative content that reflects the common Gulf identity, and highlights the renaissance witnessed by its state.
