A number of members of the Egyptian club’s board of directors held an emergency meeting during the past hours to discuss developments in the resignation of the club president Kamel Abu Ali.
The meeting resulted in a collective consensus among the members on the need for Abu Ali to continue to preside over the club, due to the great administrative weight and public support it represents.

The attendees emphasized that the presence of Abu Ali at the head of the administrative system is vital at this stage, because of its experiences and capabilities that contributed to the club’s stability and achieve the aspirations of its fans.
The past hours also witnessed direct communication with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, to inform him of the developments of the situation, in light of everyone’s desire to maintain the stability of the club.
In the same context, Major General Moheb Habashi received clear support messages from the fans of Al -Masry confirming that they adhere to the survival of Abu Ali and his completion of his career in leading the club.
The Board of Directors decided to extend the deadline for the resignation submitted by the club president, to be finalized after his return from Morocco next week.
