The Namibi international Peter Shallelli, the star of the South African Mamelodi Sun Downs, sparked a state of controversy after mysterious statements he made after his team won the domestic league title.
In his statements to DSTV after Sun Downs winning the league title, Shallelli hinted that his career with Sun Downs may approach its end, as he said during the post -match celebrations: This is my last medal in the league, I will see you, comrades at another time, which are words that many have interpreted as farewell.

According to the Namibi newspaper New Era, Peter Shallelli – whose contract expires next June 30 and includes the option to renew for a period of two years – is preparing to leave the Sun Downs but will remain on the African continent.
The newspaper reported that Al -Hilal Al -Hilal Club and many of the Middle East clubs expressed their interest in the player, stressing that one of the clubs has already contacted the Sun Downs star, but the name of the club, which made a financial offer of 600 thousand dollars for two years, was not disclosed, at 300 thousand dollars per season.
Peter Shallelli is preparing for a strong confrontation with the South African Sun Downs against Pyramids in the African Champions League final on May 24 and June 1, hoping to crown his first continental championship with the team.
