Al Hammadi: The Bahraini Journalists Association is a prominent partner in the consolidation of the free national press and the promotion of regional and international presence

His Excellency Mr. Issa bin Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Advisor to Media Affairs at the Crown Prince Court, praised the pioneering role that the Bahraini Journalists Association has played since its foundation, as an independent national professional platform, working to protect the rights of journalists, and enhance the position of the Bahraini press in regional and international forums, thanks to the support and care it enjoys from the presence of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country. And the directives supporting His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him.

His Excellency added that the twenty -five years since the establishment of the association constitutes an important national occasion through which we invoke the honorable march of the Bahraini press, the pivotal role of the association in supporting the media environment in the Kingdom, and devoting professional practices and responsible freedoms.

His Excellency stressed that the Bahraini Journalists Association managed, during a quarter of a century, to establish the values ​​of partnership with state institutions, follow up on media legislation, and develop the press system through qualitative training programs and international professional relationships that resulted in the association’s membership in the most prominent regional and international press federations, which contributed to strengthening the Bahraini press website on the international media map.

His Excellency Mr. Issa bin Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi concluded his statement that the association, with all its achievements, represents one of the tributaries of the national action in the media field, and plays an influential role in consolidating the culture of freedom of opinion and expression in a framework of responsibility and professionalism, wishing the association and its board of directors more success in serving journalists and upgrading the media profession.
