The Chairman of the Public Utilities and Environment Committee in the House of Representatives, Mohamed Al -Balushi, reviewed the committee’s achievements during the third regular session of the sixth legislative term, as he confirmed that the committee had received 68 topics, and completed 71% of the topics referred to it.
Al -Balushi said that the committee was referred to 68 issues, which are 42 proposals with a desire, 14 laws of law and 10 law proposals and two decisions for the Shura Council, and 18 meetings were held, and 45 reports were approved, while the number of correspondence and requests issued was 313 issued.
He explained that the committee was able to end 46 issues, which were represented in 32 proposals with a desire and eight projects of law and 6 proposals by law, at a rate of achievement of 71%, while 19 topics remained under study by 29%, obtained in 7 suggestions with desire and 5 proposals by law, and similar projects by law and two decisions for the Shura Council.
Al -Balushi added that the most prominent topics studied by the committee: a draft law on the organization of hunting, exploitation and protection of marine wealth, a draft law to ratify the cooperation agreement in the field of ports and commercial maritime navigation with Kuwait, the bill of real estate registration law, the ratification of the establishment of the Digital Cooperation Organization, as well as the Housing Law to raise the maximum beneficiaries of housing financing to 1500 dinars, reduce benefits to housing financing, and a suggestion of a desire to spend A residence allowance from the date of marriage, and the real estate rent law.
