The head of the Chamber of Tourism Committee, Jihad Al -Amin, explained that there is a great improvement in the process of issuing tourism visas, where qualified travel offices can submit applications through the electronic portal and obtain a response within less than 24 hours, indicating that the rate of acceptance acceptance exceeded 95%, with the exception of some technical or technical breakdowns that may hinder the issue.
Al -Amin stressed the importance of focusing on developing the Bahraini human element in the tourism sector, explaining that there is an urgent need to qualify Bahraini citizens to enter the travel and tourism market, which is witnessing an increasing demand for technically qualified cadres.
Al -Amin pointed out that the committee worked with the various components of the tourism sector, including hotels, restaurants, commercial complexes and travel offices, and noticed a great need to train Bahrainis, considering that hotels are among the most important workplaces, as each hotel employs between 100 to 200 people, which calls for the necessity of qualifying Bahraini students to enter this market.
The Secretary also stressed the importance of the existence of training institutes that provide diplomas that qualify individuals to enter the labor market, even for those who were unable to complete their university studies, pointing out that there are previous training programs that were not properly exploited, which led to a shortage of qualified cadres in the market.
The Secretary stressed the importance of addressing issues related to rehabilitation and training, in addition to improving visa procedures to enhance tourism in Bahrain.
