The Minister of Social Development, Osama Al -Alawi, affirmed that more than 99% of the money raising requests are approved, and that the requests for money raising do not take more than 15 days whenever it meets the conditions, indicating that the ministry’s vision is clear about the money collection licenses.
He stated in his response to a representative question that there are cases that require the refusal of the license, including not to submit the audited reports on a license to collect previous money, and that the purpose of collecting money with public purposes is not consistent, and that the association receive funds without obtaining a license, and the ministry does not notify within 7 days, or the collection of money in the public account of the association, and not in the account of collecting money.
He stressed the Ministry’s commitment to the law of collecting money and the executive regulations, explaining that the request is decided within 30 days, and there are requirements that are adhered to after a period of the collection license specified by a year, noting that one of the most prominent of these requirements is to submit a audited financial report after 15 days of the end of the plural period.
