The Syrian young woman, Mira Jalal Thabet Trend, topped social media during the past hours, after returning to her family’s house with religious clothes contrary to her social environment, and in the company of her husband after announcing her disappearance about two weeks ago.
Syria tops the social media
Social media users shared pictures showing Mira, veiled, accompanied by the young Ahmed and members of the police, who were said to have returned her to her home in Damascus.
Earlier, the girl’s family announced that she was kidnapped after leaving the Institute for the Preparation of Teachers in the Diplan neighborhood of Homs, and some neighbors stated that the girl’s father was arrested later on charges of submitting a false communication.
The Mira case met with widespread anger and controversy through social media platforms during the past few hours, especially after the last appearance of the girl in a circulating video, amid charges of converting a kidnapping crime from terrorist universities into a legal marriage, and a large number of social media users claimed to be tortured during her kidnapping.
An account owner wrote: She used a movement that means that she was kidnapped, in addition to the presence of blue spots on her hand as a trace of torture.
Another account owner added: Do not forgive us, Mira, if we are silent about this barbaric act, this is barbarism that the perpetrators must be held accountable and whoever forced you to do so.
