In confirmation of the position of Bahraini cadres and their continuous presence in external positions, the Arab Football Association chose Adel Youssef Sulabikh, a member of the Board of Directors, the Secretary of the Bahraini Football Association, to be the Vice President of the Arab Football Association for the Asia continent, in the founding meeting of the General Assembly held in Azerbaijan coinciding with the establishment of the World Football Championship, where the meeting witnessed the election of Mr. Saeed Al -Aji as president For the Arab Football Association.
This assignment comes in confirmation of the efficiency of the Bahraini cadres that have continuous support and attention from the wise leadership, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahraini Olympic Committee and their keenness to support the candidacy of the cadres for external positions.
Adel Salibikh expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa, President of the Bahraini Football Association and members of the Board of Directors for their support and confidence, stressing his intention to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain the best representation and work to serve the game and develop it in the Asian continent and the Arab region, indicating that this confidence that Arab federations granted to him represents a strong motivation to work in the spirit of the one team to develop the game.
The meeting witnessed the attendance of 11 founding members, where the basic controls for the publication of the Arab Union were reviewed, and future work mechanisms were discussed, in light of the support of the International Football Association, headed by Philip Juda, on the establishment of the Arab Union, in a move that enhances efforts to develop this sport in the Arab region.
