Sharjah: “The Gulf” was concluded yesterday the activities of the second day of the scientific symposium “The methods of teaching the Holy Qur’an for the child between history and contemporary”, which was held at the headquarters of the Islamic Forum in Sharjah, and witnessed a distinguished scientific and cultural presence of those interested in teaching the Holy Qur’an and its sciences. The sessions of the second day were started with a wealthy scientific axis presented by Dr. Muhammad Abtan, preacher in the Islamic Affairs Department in Sharjah, and discussed with his scientific intervention the topic of “Muslims’ efforts to memorize the Qur’an – a study in antiquities and benefits ”, reviewing the historical context of the journey of teaching the Holy Qur’an in the first Islamic ages, and indicating how memorizing the Qur’an formed a basic pillar in generations’ education and protecting identity
