In a quick response that reflects his human sense and his keenness to alleviate the suffering of citizens, Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al -Nasr, Governor of Assiut, directed the treatment of citizen Ahmed Essam, from the Al -Fateh Center, at his own expense, after listening to his complaint about his suffering from “elephant disease” and his inability to bear the costs of detection and treatment.

In exclusive statements to Cairo 24, Ahmed Essam said that he met Major General Hisham Abu Al -Nasr during his tour of the Abnoub Center, and explained to him his suffering with the disease that had been injured for many years, and his repeated attempts to treat in a number of hospitals to no avail.

The young man added: The governor answered me immediately and said to me: I will treat you, and took me to Al -Mabra Hospital in Assiut, and he ordered my treatment at his own expense, and the doctors also recommended to follow up my condition.
Ahmed pointed out that the circumstances of his family are difficult, as he counts seven brothers, calling for providing a source of income for him after the operation, saying: I need a kiosk or any opportunity to eat from it or even a salary I live in.
At the end of his speech, he thanked the Governor of Assiut for this generous gesture, saying: I thank the governor for his quick response and my treatment for his own expense, and may God reward him with all the best.
