A Norwegian man named Johann Helburg woke up to discover that a 135 -meter container ship was disrupted and settled in his garden, after he was asleep and did not feel anything during the accident.
The neighbors were the ones who launched the warning
Justin Jurgensen, who lives 40 meters from the beach, said he heard noise near five in the morning, and when he looked at his window, he saw the ship rapidly approaching the beach. He went out quickly and started screaming to launch the warning, before watching the ship hitting the beach and settling a few meters away from the Hilberg house.

“If the ship had deviated slightly towards the adjacent cliff, it would hit the house directly. I moved away from it with a slight distance,” Helberg told the Norwegian TV2 TV. He added that he did not feel anything during his sleep, and that his neighbor was the one who woke him up to inform him that “a ship was in the yard of his house.”
16 people on board the ship
The ship, called “NCL Salten”, was heading to the city of Aconkal, south of the naval strait, with 16 people at the accident. No injuries were recorded.

Bente Hitland, Executive Director of the shipping company, described the ship as “dangerous”, and expressed her satisfaction that there were no injuries, stressing that the reason is still unknown to pending the results of the investigation from the competent authorities. “We are currently evaluating the size of the damage to the ship.”
Rescue efforts fail to red float the ship
A locomotive was sent to withdraw the ship from its location, but the attempt was not successful. Later, the saving company tried to float the ship during the high tide period Thursday evening, but the authorities announced that the operation is currently possible, and that technical and geological investigations should precede any new attempt.
No oil leakage … but caution is a duty
Although there are no indications of oil leakage from the ship, the Norwegian Coast Authority has placed an environmental response ship to be ready for any emergency.
