The leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Canada issued a joint statement in which they expressed their deep concern about the continuation of the Benjamin Netanyahu government in what they described as “blatant actions”. They emphasized that if Israel does not stop its new military operations, and the restrictions of the introduction of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, they will take “concrete measures” in response.
In a related context, British Foreign Secretary David Lami announced his country’s suspension of the ongoing negotiations with Israel on the free trade agreement, noting that these negotiations cannot continue in light of the current policies of the Israeli government in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
