The Meteorological Authority announced the details of the expected weather situation in Egypt during the period from Tuesday, May 13 to Sunday, May 18, 2025, amid warnings from a hot wave affecting most of the parts, especially the south of the country.

According to the official statement of the Meteorological Authority, hot weather prevails in the day in the northern regions, very hot south, and moderate at night and early in the morning on most parts of the Republic.
The authority refers to wind activity on Tuesday, May 13th, on areas of the northern coasts, maritime face, Greater Cairo and the cities of the canal, and it may be exciting for sand and dust on areas of northern Upper Egypt and Sinai at intermittent periods.
The Meteorological Authority also indicated very weak opportunities for light rain on Tuesday in separate areas of the northern coasts and Lower Egypt, and may extend intermittently to Greater Cairo.
Starting from Friday, May 16, the commission expects a gradual rise in temperatures over most parts, at values ranging from 5 to 7 degrees Celsius, and it is expected that the temperatures in Greater Cairo will record between 36 and 38 degrees, and in the north of Upper Egypt between 38 and 41 degrees Celsius.
The following are the maximum and small temperatures expected until Sunday, May 18th:
Cairo and Lower Egypt: The Great ranges between 35 to 41, and the minimum between 23 and 24.
Northern Coasts: Great between 30 and 33, Minor between 21 and 24.
North Upper Egypt: Great to 38 to 41, Minor 24.
South Upper Egypt: Great ranges from 41 to 43, minor 28.
The commission appeals to citizens to be careful, especially during exposure to direct sunlight, and commitment to the necessary guidance to help the complications of the hot wave.
