The sky of Makkah Al -Mukarramah witnesses tomorrow, Tuesday, one of the most beautiful and accurate astronomical phenomena annually, which is the phenomenon of sunburn on the honorable Kaaba, where the sun becomes in a semi -vertical location over the Kaaba, so its rays reach directly to its surface without receiving vertical bodies, i.e. a unique astronomical scene that expresses the accuracy of the cosmic system, according to the astronomical association in Jeddah.
The sun is perpendicular to the Kaaba
The association stated in its statement, that the date of the first perpendicularity in 2025 will be on Tuesday, May 27 at 12:18 pm Mecca time, coinciding with the back of the back in the Grand Mosque, where the sun at that moment is an angle of 89.56 degrees above the horizon.

It occurs twice a year

After the spring moderation, the sun moves north until it intersects with the Mecca line in late May and then after the summer coup begins to return in the south and intersect with it again in July.
The astronomical importance of this phenomenon lies in that it allows determining the direction of the qiblah with very high accuracy anywhere in the world, without the need for modern tools.
The phenomenon of orthopedic also represents a rare opportunity to study the phenomenon of atmospheric refraction and the effect of the atmosphere layers on the apparent sun in the sky when it approaches the vertical point directly above the head.
