The governorates of Luxor and Aswan, south of Egypt, witnessed a historic tourist recovery during this April, with hotel occupations exceeding 95%, driven by increasing the demand for the “Nile golds” luxury sailing ships that roam the Nile River between the two cities, where the prices of residence reached from 3 to 4 thousand euros per night.

One million additional tourists in Luxor and a plan to reach 15 thousand hotel rooms by 2030
The Governor of Luxor, Eng. Abdel -Muttalib, Amara, and in a remarkable development, revealed that the province received one million additional tourists this year compared to last year, which reflects the recovery of the tourism sector and the return of the historical city to the forefront of global destinations.
The Governor stressed that Luxor aims to increase hotel energy from 10,500 rooms currently to 15,000 rooms by 2030, as part of a comprehensive development plan for tourism infrastructure.
150 luxurious golds .. and plans to expand despite the challenges
The number of Nile gold is about 150 gold, with a total of more than 1,000 cabins, with each gold executed from 3 to 4 trips per week. These moves fall within a national development strategy that aims to promote cultural tourism, attract investments, and achieve sustainable development that benefits citizens, while preserving the unique archaeological character of the shortest that embraces more than a third of the world’s monuments.
