A 6.2 -magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale struck today, Friday, off the coast of South Africa, and information has not yet been reported about damage or injuries, according to local media.
Seismic experts closely follow the situation, while the local authorities remain on alert to provide support in the event of any developments.
An earthquake in Pakistan
In a connected leg, the Earthquake Center in Pakistan announced on Friday morning that the country was subjected to a 4.4 -degree earthquake on the Richter scale, and was felt by the residents of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
The center said, in a statement published on the “X” platform, that the earthquake was recorded at a width circuit 30.14 degrees north and a length of 70.36 degrees east, and at a depth of only 10 kilometers, which increases the possibility of human and material losses due to the nearby earthquake center from the surface of the earth.
On Tuesday, Pakistan witnessed another earthquake of 4.2 degrees, recorded at a circuit of 31.31 degrees north and a length of 72.52 degrees east, and at a depth of 111 km.
The authorities are still following the repercussions of the earthquake and the initial assessments are taking place on possible damage.
