The Indian army issued a statement, on Saturday morning, after Pakistan began launching counter -attacks on India, killing at least 5 people, in response to Indian missiles targeting 3 Pakistani air bases at night.
The Indian army considered that “Pakistan’s blatant attempt to violate the sovereignty of India and endanger civilians are unacceptable,” noting that “the enemy’s plans will be frustrated.”
The Indian army said on the “X” platform: “We monitored many of the armed enemy’s rankers flying over the city of Amritsar, and immediately clashed with our air defense units and destroyed them.”
He said, “Pakistan’s blatant escalation by attacking and other ammunition continues along our western borders.”
In the same context, the police announced the killing of 5 in the Gamo area of the Indian part of the Kashmir region, in the attacks by Pakistan on Saturday morning.
AFP correspondents reported hearing explosions in the city of Serenagar, in the Indian part of Kashmir.
The Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation announced the closure of 32 airports in the country, amid the escalation of tension between New Delhi and Islamabad.
