In turn, French Foreign Minister Jean -Noel Baru stated that Paris would summon the Israeli ambassador after unacceptable shooting by the Israeli army towards foreign diplomats in the West Bank, including a French.

The media reported that a group of foreign diplomats from several countries had to flee to take shelter during a visit to Jenin after Israeli soldiers opened fire in the air to warn them in order to move away.
Diplomatic sources reported that European Union diplomats were part of the delegation.
The Israeli army stated that it had shot near a diplomatic delegation claiming that it deviated through a certified in the occupied West Bank.
He added that the delegation “deviated from the accredited path, and entered an area not authorized to be present in it”, and that the soldiers launched “warning shots to remove its members.”
