387 international participants in the Arab Forum for Artificial Intelligence at the Gulf University

The Gulf University to host the Arab Forum for Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education, in cooperation with the Times Higher education, is preparing on the fourteenth of May in the Gulf Hotel, under the slogan: “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: Paying the Innovation Wheel through Work.” The forum is witnessing a wide participation of 387 participants from all over the world, including university presidents, presidents, researchers, experts, and decision makers representing academic institutions from the Gulf states, the Arab region, Europe and Asia.

The forum represents a strategic platform that allows faculty members at the Gulf University to meet with an elite of academics and technology specialists from all over the world, and discuss the latest practical applications of artificial intelligence in university governance and the experience of learning and scientific research, in line with the accelerating digital transformations.

Professor Muhannad Al -Farras, President of the Gulf University, stressed that the forum reflects the university’s orientation towards the consolidation of education based on innovation and technology, adding:

“We continue to integrate artificial intelligence into academic programs, not only in the development of curricula, but also in evaluating performance, analyzing data and allocating educational content to suit the needs of students. We have worked to train a number of faculty members to use modern artificial intelligence tools, and they obtained accredited international certificates that reflect their readiness to lead digital transformation in university education.”

The importance of the forum is highlighted in the fact that it opens a dialogue on how to redesign the experience of higher education using artificial intelligence, including the development of curricula, enabling faculty members, and providing flexible and personal educational experiences for students. The Forum also deals with social intelligence -backed social innovation and its role in building comprehensive and stimulating educational environments.

These efforts come within the framework of the Gulf University’s vision to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and to improve the role of higher education institutions in advancing the sustainable development of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region.

It is worth noting that the university holds the international quality adoption and the Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education (QAA) from the United Kingdom, institutional accreditation and all its confidence programs from the Education and Training Authority, and on the “Iet Associaty Membership” from the UK Engineering and Technology Corporation “The Institution of Engineering and Technology, membership of the Association of Colleges of Press and Public Media (ASJMC), and the international professional accreditation from the British Royal Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) to be the media at the Gulf University, the second academic program outside the United Kingdom to obtain this accreditation. The university also obtained the international membership of AASCB, and the association of the Association of Legal Accountants in Britain.
