Major General Ibrahim Abu Laimon, Governor of Menoufia, continued the efforts of the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade to implement intensive and surprising inspection campaigns on markets, bakeries and sales outlets, with the aim of controlling unknown goods and ensuring the quality of a loaf of bread and providing basic commodities for citizens.

The campaigns, which were carried out during Thursday and Friday, resulted in the editing of 220 various rationing minutes, which included 114 minutes of bakeries violations and 106 market records, which varied between weight loss, collection of goods, lack of commitment to specifications, selling up from the official price, and not to announce prices.
3 tons of fish and anonymous meat in Menoufia
About 3 tons of smoked fish, meat, and unknown camels were seized, inside the meat and fish refrigerators in Menouf and martyrs, where a misdemeanor record was edited against their owners due to the lack of declaration of prices and the absence of legal documents for seized goods.
In the Ashmoun Center, two misdemeanors were edited against grocery store owners to practice the activity without a license, and not to announce prices with the aim of profit.
The Governor of Menoufia stressed the continued intensification of field control and immediate dealing with citizens’ complaints, stressing the need to confront the firmness of any monopolistic practices or cases of commercial fraud.
