3 Iranian soldiers, including an officer, were killed today, Wednesday; After a tune explosion with two separate incidents on the country’s borders with Iraq.
Official sources in the Kurdistan Governorate reported that two elements of the border guards in the city of “that” they were killed while carrying out the missile tasks and monitoring the border, following a mine explosion of the remnants of the Iraq -Iran war.
According to the Iranian official news agency, “IRNA”, the two dead are First Lieutenant Muhammad Reda Siddiq, and the soldier Ali Karimi, who are the sons of the Ilam governorate, west of the country.
In a separate incident, “Sadiq Khaddadi”, the ruler of the city of Gilan, west of Kermanshah Governorate, confirmed the killing of officer Muhammad Salimi, a third lieutenant in the Iranian army’s 71st Brigade, during the implementation of an inspection patrol on the border with Iraq, following a landmine explosion.
“Although relief teams intervened urgently, Selimi died of his severe injuries caused by the intensity of the explosion,” Khaddadi said.
According to official statistics, the remnants of the Iraq -Iran war (1980-1988) still pose a major threat in the western border areas.
