The White House announced on Tuesday that US President Donald Trump will go to Saudi Arabia next May.

Two days ago, Axius news website revealed that US President Donald Trump is planning to visit Saudi Arabia in mid -May on his first foreign visit since he took over the presidency for the second time.

The site quoted two US officials and an informed source that a possible visit had been discussed in the past few weeks between senior US officials and their Saudi counterparts, including on the sidelines of talks on the war in Ukraine.

Saudi Arabia hosted talks between the United States, Russia and Ukraine, in light of Trump’s endeavor to cease fire in the Ukrainian war.

Trump said this month that he is likely to make his first foreign trip to Saudi Arabia to conclude an agreement in which Riyadh invests more than a trillion dollars in the American economy, including buying military equipment.

On the sixth of March, he stated that he is likely to visit the kingdom during the coming month. He pointed out that his first foreign trip during his first term was to Riyadh in 2017 to announce Saudi investments at the time of about 350 billion dollars.

According to the sources, Axius said that a possible visit has been discussed in the past few weeks between senior US officials and their Saudi counterparts, including on the sidelines of the war talks in Ukraine.

According to Axius, a source said that April 28 was a possible date for the visit but was postponed, while an official and informed source said that the current plan is for Trump to travel to Saudi Arabia in mid -May.
