Dar Al -Iftaa answered a question that was received by one of the followers of his text: What is the ruling on participating in calls for refraining from trade in times of high costs? I am the owner of a commercial activity and I heard that there are calls and initiatives for some shop owners who sell foodstuffs as well as the meat butter and bird stores to close the activity and refrain from practicing trade because of the high prices, claiming that this is the interest of the poor, so what is the ruling on participating in these initiatives? What is the legal behavior towards that?

She said through her website in a previous fatwa: Participating in refraining from practicing work at the time of high costs – without coordination with the competent authorities – is forbidden by law; Likewise, every matter impedes the production process and the continuity of people’s lives is legally prohibited and criminal, and the sanctity is confirmed if the refusal of the people’s forces and the necessities that they do not dispense with, whether the abstaining intends to harm others or not to mention; Rather, with people with businesses, they deal at these times in all honesty and honesty, and to take into account the need of people not to exaggerate prices, and by distance from monopoly and fraud, and facilitating people to buy them.
The Egyptian Dar Al -Iftaa reviewed the recent calls to the necessity of armed jihad on every Muslim against the Israeli occupation, and demands that Islamic countries be immediate military intervention and impose a counter -siege.
