In his opening speech at the symposium, Judge Ahmed Bandari, director of the executive body of the authority, conveyed the greetings of Judge Hazem Badawi, Chairman of the National Elections Authority, to attend, noting his constant emphasis on the importance of organizing such seminars aimed at building a conscious and political generation, capable of participating active in public life.

Judge Ahmed Bandari, Director of the Executive Agency for the National Elections Authority, presented a detailed presentation that dealt with the establishment of the authority, its formation and specializations, and the nature and mechanisms of its work in organizing and managing elections and referendums, whether inside or outside Egypt, reviewing the most prominent constitutional entitlements that the authority has organized since its foundation.

The director of the executive body of the authority also shed light on the efforts made by the authority in the field of awareness and education of the importance of political participation, noting that these efforts reflect the authority’s keenness to consolidate the values ​​of citizenship and belonging among young people, and enable them to exercise their political rights with consciousness and responsibility, based on being an active partner in supporting the stability of the state.

Within the activities of the symposium, the judge, Shadi Riyad, Deputy Director of the Executive Agency for the National Elections Authority, dealt with the mechanism of updating the voter database, and how it worked, noting that the authority was able to use modern means to ensure the accuracy of the electoral process without errors related to the similarity of the names, and Judge Shadi Riyad also reviewed some models similar to names in the voter data is a common phenomenon in the Egyptian society, but the National Authority was able For elections, for the use of modern means to produce elections and referendums without a single error regarding the similarity of names, by using the non -repetitive national number system, which he explained in detail to show all means of safety in them.

Judge Shadi Riad, Deputy Director of the Executive Agency of the National Elections Authority, confirmed that there are multiple sources to which the National Elections Authority will be left to purify and modernize the voter database represented in the ministries of defense, interior, health, population and the Public Prosecution.

Judge Sherif Siddiq, Deputy Director of the Executive Agency for the National Elections Authority, said that the system of the administrative entities database that the authority uses to purify the voter database aims to establish a reliable system, adding that the electoral centers are examining under the supervision of the National Elections Authority with the participation of the various concerned authorities, to ensure their readiness during the elections and referendums.

The symposium witnessed the keenness of the Director of the Executive Authority and his deputies to open extensive discussions with the participating youth, as young people raised many questions and inquiries about the electoral process and the importance of their role in this process, and the commission team praised the level of awareness of youth and their keenness to understand the political issues raised, and it was emphasized during the discussion that the poll is a right and a national duty, and one of the basic pillars of the democratic process, which contributes to the democratic process The stability of the state and the organization of the work of its powers and national institutions.

At the end of the symposium, thanks were extended to the participating youth, in appreciation of their interest and their keenness to participate in this important event, while the youth expressed their gratitude for the efforts made in organizing this rich symposium, stressing the importance of the continuation of this type of meetings that contribute to enhancing their political awareness and enabling them to fulfill their national role fully.
