The Dutchman, Virgil Van Dyck, Liverpool defense captain, confirmed that his team’s top of the Premier League table came as a result of serious work and the ongoing focus throughout the season.
The “Reds” occupies the top of the Premier League with 73 points, and needs 15 additional points to win the 20th title in its history, as no other team can exceed the barrier of 87 points.
In comments published by the club’s official website, Van Dyck said: “We have worked hard to reach this position, and everyone wants to stay here we have to continue with the same focus and mental to achieve our goal.”
He added: “Until now, we have presented a great season, and we have to continue at the same level. A difficult match against Fulham in London on Sunday, and we must be ready for it.”
Van Dyck also pointed to the difficulty of Everton’s recent confrontation, saying: “They always make things difficult for us, but we have succeeded in maintaining our clean networks, and Gota scored a great goal to achieve three important points.”
Liverpool is preparing to meet Fulham in the 31st round of the English Premier League, in a match that may bring him another step of crowning the title.
