Abu Dhabi / Wam, under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, the UAE sent urgent humanitarian aid to the Republic of Myanmar, as part of its quick response to the repercussions of the earthquake that struck the country recently. The initiative was implemented by the Joint Operations Command in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the National Guard Command and the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, through the conduct of several flights, in confirmation of the UAE’s constant commitment to humanitarian work, and its effective response to international humanitarian crises.
