With the departure of retired Lieutenant -Colonel Abdulaziz Bouhaji, #Bahrain lost a national symbol whose voice was carrying safety and guidance messages for every home and every street. And the citizen, always seeking a more safety and loving homeland.
His body will be buried after the afternoon prayer in the Muharraq Cemetery at Hamad Bin Ali Kano Mosque.
Bouhaji began his career by joining the Ministry of Interior on July 14, 1973, after he graduated from the Police College in Cairo in 1966.
Before joining the interior, Bouhaji contributed voluntarily to the #Ara -awareness on the Bahraini radio, especially in the campaign to transform the direction of traffic in 1967. After that, he founded the Public Relations Office in the General Traffic Department, where he led efforts to spread traffic awareness between schools, driving institutes and various segments of society.
For more than 30 years, he prepared and presented traffic programs, and contributed to the launch of the Gulf Traffic Week in 1983, representing the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Public Relations Directors Committee of the Cooperation Council states. He also had a prominent role in traffic development projects, including unifying preference within circles, which contributed to improving traffic and enhancing traffic safety culture.
Bouhaji worked with an elite group of interior leaders who believed in his ideas, as he was inherent in their meetings and initiatives at home and abroad, always quoted from international experiences to apply them with a pure Bahraini spirit.
Abdulaziz Bouhji remained until his last days in terms of his message, believing that the policeman should be a friend of society, a source of safety and love. Today, as he is in the way of the path of giving, its legacy remains firmly in the conscience of the homeland, and its immortal memory in the hearts of everyone who knew him and heard his affectionate voice.
May God have mercy on Abdulaziz Bouhaji, and he dwells in his spacious gardens, and inspired his family and loved ones patience and solace.
