The Egyptian National Committee for Education, Science and Culture closes the door for the UNESCO Award for Education for Sustainable Development for the year 2025, tomorrow, Friday, April 18, 2025.
Today .. the door for progress for the UNESCO Prize – Japan for Education for Sustainable Development for 2025 has been closed
The award, funded by the government of Japan, is awarded once every two years, and it consists of three awards, each with a value of $ 50,000, and honors educational initiatives that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Egyptian National Committee for Education, Science and Culture, stated that the award embodies the importance of investing in education as an effective tool to achieve sustainable development, stressing the Egyptian state’s keenness to support distinguished educational initiatives and enhance its regional and international presence.
Dr. Ayman Farid, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning, Training and Rehabilitation of the Labor Market, and Head of Cultural Affairs and Mission, said that the award represents an important opportunity to highlight the leading Egyptian educational experiences on the international scene.
Dr. Hala Abdel -Gawad, Assistant Secretary -General of the National Committee for UNESCO, stressed that the award encourages transformational education that addresses the dimensions of sustainable development in an integrated way, and provides innovative solutions that can be repeated and expanded.
