The tour started with a visit to the port of Khalifa, which is owned and managed by the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and a meeting was held with Julian Doland Skirmi, Head of Administrative Affairs in the Group Ports Sector, and Khaled Al -Amiri, Director of the Department of Operating Operations for Stations in Khalifa Port, where an introductory offer was presented on the port work system and its components within the logistical mass of the ports, followed by a field tour of the port And its facilities.

In this context, Walid Jamal Al -Din stressed the endeavor of the Suez Canal Economic Zone to build strategic partnerships with various entities that have achieved successful business models, based on the belief in the importance of regional integration and the exchange of experiences, as the economic zone of the Suez Canal represents a global logistical and industrial portal linking East and West, and provides promising opportunities for investors from around the world thanks to its strategic location, and the integration of its structure The infrastructure, and the facilities it provides to investors in ports and industrial areas, stressing that the economic zone of the Suez Canal has implemented an ambitious plan to develop its affiliated ports, which included the update of infrastructure, the expansion of sidewalks, the increase in absorptive capacity, and the raising of the efficiency of logistics services, in order to enhance its competitive capabilities at the regional and international levels.

The delegation also went to Khalifa Industrial City (Kezad) of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, which is located near the port of Khalifa, to discuss ways of cooperation in the fields of managing industrial zones and logistical services, as the delegation conducted an introductory field in the region during which an expanded explanation of the mechanisms For logistics services, one of the subsidiaries of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, which has an experience exceeding 60 years in this field, where the ways of integration were discussed in supply chains and logistical services between the two sides.

It is worth noting that this visit comes to start the executive steps to activate the memorandum of understanding signed by the Suez Canal Economic Zone with the Abu Dhabi Ports Group in November 2024; To develop, develop, operate and manage an industrial zone within the integrated industrial industrial area of ​​Port Said, affiliated with the Suez Canal, on a total area of ​​about 20 km2 with the usufruct right system.
