“One of the difficulties of learning to the list of honor”, with this sentence, the success story of the two students, Zahra Hassan Wadih and Israa Muhammad Ali, can be summarized, after achieving a qualitative shift in their academic capabilities at the Sitra Elementary School for Girls.
The two students in the fifth grade topped the outstanding lists of the exceptions at the present time, after they were at the beginning of their enrollment in the school in the enrollment in the learning difficulties program, as they found support in the field of developing basic skills such as reading, writing and account.
The support program, under the supervision of the learning difficulties teacher, Professor Safa Jaafar Al -Saeed, and the speech and language specialist, Professor Marwa Habib Al Nuh, focused on employing fun and simplified stories to improve the ability to read and write, according to the level of each student, in an interactive educational environment that combines classroom and multimedia activities, with a prize that guides distinguished women in the program.
Zahraa was able to overcome the dread of the audience, and she became reading fluently and confidently in front of her colleagues, while Israa showed a remarkable development in spelling and distinguishing similar letters, which enabled her to express her ideas clearly, so their academic achievement slowly developed, until they occupied a prominent place among the outstanding ranks.
The two families of the two students expressed their great pride in the achievement achieved, which was the active communication between the school and the parents, the pivotal role in its achievement.
This comes within the successes of the Ministry of Education in providing the appropriate educational service for all the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in a way that takes into account their individual differences and their academic needs.
