The southern governor opens the Bahrain pavilion “The seas” in Expo 2025 Osaka

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, opened yesterday, Sunday, April 13, 2025 AD, the national pavilion of the Kingdom of Bahrain, “The convergence of the seas” in Expo 2025 Osaka in the Kansai region in Japan, in the presence of Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the General Commissioner of the Kingdom’s Pavilion, and Ambassador Ahmed Mohamed Al -Dossary, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan, in addition to a number of senior Officials, ambassadors and general commissioners from the Gulf states and foreign countries, and the designer of the Bahrain Architect Lina Al -Ghatma.

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities organizes the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Expo 2025 Osaka.

The wing reflects the historical relationship that connects the Kingdom to the sea, and its design and experience inspired by its marine heritage and the craft of traditional ships with its integration of traditional Japanese carpentry technologies.

During the opening, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, praised the high directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the country, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the great success achieved with the participation of the national pavilion of the Kingdom of Bahrain, “The seas” in Expo 2025 Osaka in the Kansai region, Japan, Japan, Japan Noting that the distinguished participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s wing witnessed an organization at the highest levels and a remarkable public presence, which reflects the advanced level of the Kingdom of Bahrain in major international occasions, which is a source of pride and pride.

For his part, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said: “The opening of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion in Expo 2025 Osaka is a new station in our march towards highlighting Bahrain’s civilized face on the international scene.

Our fourth participation in the Expo event starts from the Kingdom of Bahrain’s approach to cultural openness to the world, guiding the enlightened visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, the country’s majestic and the directions of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which has always placed the Bahraini person, his culture and civilization among the priorities of development and investment.

He added: “The wing is embodied in its design and full experience, features of the Bahraini identity and its maritime heritage as we know it, in its historical firmness and openness to the world.”, Stressing that the Culture Authority was keen that all aspects of participation be a reflection of this spirit, from the idea to the experience that the visitor lives.

The “seas” pavilion is enjoying silver support from both aluminum Bahrain “Alba”, the “Tamkeen” labor fund and the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company “Mumtawa”, the sovereign wealth fund for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Expo 2025 Osaka will continue until mid -October, and it is expected to attract more than 28 million visitors from all over the world, with the participation of about 160 countries.
