Today, Saturday, the Cairo Economic Court issues its ruling on political activist Wael Ghoneim on charges of insulting the counselor Turki Al -Sheikh, head of the General Authority for Entertainment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The defense of the Counselor Turki Al -Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, filed a lawsuit with a lawsuit before the Cairo Economic Court, against activist Wael Ghoneim, in which he called for the maximum sentence and obliging him to pay a temporary civil compensation of 200001 pounds, against the background of accusing him of insulting and slandering through social media.
According to the lawsuit, which carried No. 832 of 2025, Ghoneim published a leaflet on the X platform on October 12, 2024, which included words that Al -Sheikh considered offensive to his honor and consideration, as well as his intention to harass him and disturb him using communication means.
Earlier, the Public Prosecution, Wael Ghoneim, referred to trial, after he was charged with articles under the articles of the Penal Code and the Telecommunications Regulatory Law.
